The relationship between a father and a son is crucial in the way a boy grows up. In Jamie's case, he grew up spending almost every day with his dad, as he taught him every sport imaginable - basketball, track, football, tennis, ping pong, among many others.

While Foxx said it was his dad who taught him how to be a man, he previously shared that it's his sister with down syndrome who taught him how to live. The award-winning artist said that in his family, he is not the star. The most fantastic member of their family for him is his younger sister DeOndra Dixon.

In a previous interview, he revealed how strong his bond is with 33-year-old DeOndra who was diagnosed with down syndrome at a young age. After she graduated from high school in 2002, he decided to move her in with him, and that has done wonders in the way she's grown up.

“I learned how to live. Sometimes we get caught up in our world on the extras of everything — ‘Ah, the Mercedes is not the right color!' And then you see this girl over here. ‘I just want to live. I want to dance. I want to love.’ She brings you back down to what life is.”

Due to their bond, Jamie would often attend events for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, where his sister is an ambassador.

Although Jamie does not always see his family due to his busy schedule, the type of impact they have on his life remains, and the love they share between one another will always stay the same.
