Sharon Osbourne's Biggest Regret Was Letting Her Teenage Daughter Move out at Age 16
"The Talk" co-host opened up about her eldest daughter, Aimee, moving out when she was 16 in order to avoid filming the family's MTV reality show.
During a November 2018 episode of "The Talk," which has been removed from YouTube, Sharon Osbourne said she regretted allowing her eldest daughter Aimee, then 16, to move out of the family home during the production of “The Osbournes.”
Osbourne's daughter moved out because she was uncomfortable in her home due to the filming of her family's reality show, MTV's "The Osbournes," which ran from 2002 to 2005.
"The Osbournes" seemed like such a close-knit family, and that must have come at the expense of leaving behind the daughter who didn’t want the attention.
“She left at 16, and I regret every day that she did. She was happy, but it broke my heart when she moved.” The reality TV show captured the lives of Sharon, Ozzy, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne over 52 episodes.
“She couldn’t live in our house because we were filming and it drove her insane. She felt too that she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea. It was appalling to her,” Sharon revealed.
Back in July 2018, Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about Jaden’s request to move out “one of the most heartbreaking moments” of her life during an episode of the series "Red Table Talk."
Osbourne said she could relate to what Pinkett Smith went through after the “Girls Trip” star revealed she was left “devastated” when son Jaden Smith moved out of the house and asked to be emancipated at age 15.

"At 15-years-old, Jaden, and I remember this day specifically, it’s probably one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life, you got to a point where you told me straight up, you were like, 'Mom, I have to leave here to live my life,'" Pinkett Smith recalled.
Sharon and Ozzy are now grandparents to Jack's three daughters, Pearl, Andy, and Minnie – his kids with estranged wife, Lisa Stelly.
