'Why Him and Not Me?' T.I. Moves Fans to Tears with Desperate Message after Nipsey Hussle's Death

T.I is an emotional person! In his recent post about Nipsey Hussle's tragic death, the rapper shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram page, and it left many in tears.

Ermias Joseph Asghedom popularly known as Nipsey Hussle died on 31st of March, 2019. Since the news of his death broke on the internet on Sunday, most celebrities all over the world have publicly shared their heartfelt condolences about the horror that took the great rapper away from his loved ones. Rapper T.I finally broke his silence and shared an emotional write up about the significant loss on his Instagram page.

Nipsey was loved by many, and this is evident in the way the whole world celebrated him after his excruciating death. To many, the 33-year-old was more than a rapper. He was hope! Hussle wanted to do more for his community; he believed that people could do better and be better regardless of where they come from and what they've been through.

The late rapper was a force to reckon with, someone who had impacted so many lives at such a young age, and because of this, many will miss the legacy that he fought hard for.

So because of the good that Nipsey was and all the right that he did, rapper TI took to his Instagram page to question why it had to be him. Why Hussle had to die and he, on the other hand, had to live.

Tip in the post said he had been conflicted as to what to write and just couldn't think of the right thing to say. He likened himself to Nipsey, who like him was trying to help build and make the black community better.

"WHY HIM AND NOT ME?!?! What have I done so right that kept me here and removed him from his loved ones and extinguished his future? If GOD really wants US to fight on the front lines for the liberation of our own people then how is something like this supposed to contribute?" - Tip said.

The 38-year-old went on to speak about the late singer's family, he wrote:

"How do we look his wife, children,& parents in the eyes when WE ALL KNOW WE FAILED HIM!!!! Our culture killed Nip... the very thing he fought for turned right around and snatched him away from US."

He went on to chastise those who still think the primitive way of killing their fellow "niggas" is the right way and warned them to learn from history so as not to perish like "The Mafia."

Been waiting on wisdom, peace,& understanding about this whole situation, because I’m the same thing on Bankhead as he is to Crenshaw & odds are I’d handle myself the same exact way in that situation. WHY HIM AND NOT ME?!?! What have I done so right that kept me here and removed him from his loved ones and extinguished his future? If GOD really want US to fight on the front lines for the liberation of our own people then how is something like this supposed to contribute? Why do we now (&always) have to do it without one of our strongest soldiers alongside US?!?! How do we look his wife, children,& parents in the eyes when WE ALL KNOW WE FAILED HIM!!!! Our culture killed Nip... the very thing he fought for turned right around and snatched him away from US.... The same “fuck waiting my turn” ass energy that Jon Gotti introduced into the Mafia when him and Sammy “The Bull” killed Paul “Big Paulie” Castellano to make Gotti the Boss of the Gambino Crime Family When he (Gotti) disagreed with Paulie’s vision for the family. And then, just as karma would have it... Sammy “The Bull” would later turn right around and send Jon Gotti to prison where he’d later die alone in a cell. Listen...This is an energy and a culture that WE MIMIC...ITS OF AN EVIL THATS NOT US!!!! WE’RE FAR BETTER THAN THAT!!!! That self serving disrespect of the hierarchy,& disregard for the game KILLED THE MAFIA... one of the strongest longest running operations in HISTORY was ended as a result of 1 move. WE MUST LEARN FROM HISTORY & find the lessons in our losses... DONT LET MY PATNA DIE IN VAIN BY CONTINUING TO PERPETUATE THE SAME STUPIDITY!!! If you love Nip for real... READ A BOOK TODAY IN HIS HONOR!!!! Lil bro was one of the only niggas I ever met on this rap shit that gave me a book to read. To know better is to do better... STOP ACCEPTING THE BLISS OF IGNORANCE & Learn your way out your situation like HE DID!!!! Woke up wit this shit on my heart. WE ALL MISS YOU LIL BRO!!! Wish I could’ve done more. Now I question if it’s even worth trying. Woke up feeling like 🖕🏽🌏🤷🏽‍♂️💔
