Man Asks His Wife to Bring Him a Special Present from Italy
Never underestimate a woman's ability to get the best out of any situation, as the husband in the following scenario quickly learned. His joke quickly fell apart when his wife got the last laugh!
A
to attend a 2-week company enforced training session. She's never been there and was a little nervous to go.
Her husband drives her to the airport, and after helping her get all her bags in, he wishes her a good trip.
His wife answers: “Thank you, honey. What would you like me to bring back for you from Italy?” thinking he will say he wants fancy shoes or perfume.
The husband laughs and says:
“Bring me back an Italian girl…!!!”
The woman is a little peeved about his comment, but she says nothing and kisses him goodbye.
Two weeks later, the man picks her up at the airport and asks: “So, honey, how was your trip?”
“Very good, thank you,” she replies.
“And, what happened to my present?” the man jokes, wriggling his eyebrows at her.
“Which present?” she asks, innocently.
“The one I asked for, you know – an Italian girl.”
“Oh, that!” she said,
“Well, I did what I could while I was there, but now we have to wait for nine months to see if it is a girl…”
That must have been a very quiet car ride home! Did you find this story funny? Don't forget to share it with your friends and make their day!
On the subject of unusual gift options, Prince Harry recently received one such present from a fan for his newborn baby boy.
Claire Waldron, a creative who designs what she calls "kindness stones," presented Harry with a golden rock with the full names "Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor" inscribed on it during his recent trip to Oxford.
The caretaker at the Barton Neighborhood Center suggested Harry might hide the rock in the garden at his new residence with wife Meghan Markle, Frogmore Cottage, for Archie to discover when he's older.
Prince Harry is apparently taken by the idea of leaving a surprise in the garden for his son to find and graciously accepted the gift. It is the thought that counts, after all!
