The event took place on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Buckingham Palace and was attended by over 30,000 guests. Kate Middleton, as always, was one of the figures of the day.

The beautiful mother-of-three showed up to the party wearing a fantastic pink Alexander McQueen coatdress, which she matched with a unique hat designed by Juliette Botterill.

However, the most stunning detail about Middleton's ensemble was the earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana, a wedding gift she received from Collingwood jewelers.

JEWELRY PROVIDED BY DIANA

It has been reported that Middleton previously wore the earrings in 2017, during a Spanish state banquet, much like other pieces that were handed to her throughout the years.

The 37-year-old was accompanied by her husband, Prince William, who also dressed up for the occasion following the strict dress code by donning a morning dress complemented with a hat and an umbrella.

The two had quite a lot of fun at the garden party and were even captured by the camera of a very happy royal fan named Lucy Stafford, who had the honor of being invited to the event.

The 19-year-old managed to snap a photo of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during a relaxed and romantic moment and didn't waste any time sharing the picture on her Instagram account.

According to Stafford who had the opportunity to meet the royals, including Queen Elizabeth, they were all incredibly kind and she was even told by the monarch that, in 1994, HRH was almost killed by a cricket ball.
