Lady Approaches a Priest with a Problem
Prayer can take all forms, and people pray for many serious reasons, like good health for themselves and their loved ones or arbitrary things like a good fortune in the next lottery pick. The birds in this story will have you in stitches.
A
and tells him, “Father, I have a problem. I have these two beautiful talking female parrots, but they only know how to say one thing. They keep saying,
"Hi, we’re hot. Do you want a date?"
I don't know what to do about them! Nothing I have tried has worked! It's really embarrassing.”

“That’s terrible!” the priest exclaimed.
“But I do have a solution to your problem. Bring your two parrots over to my house and I will put them with my two male talking budgies to whom I have taught to pray and read the bible. My birds will then teach your parrots to stop saying that terrible phrase and your female parrots will learn to pray and worship instead.”
So the next day, the lady brings her female parrots to the priest’s house. The priest’s two male birds are holding rosary beads and praying in their cage. The lady was very impressed with them.
The lady puts her female parrots in with the male budgies, and the female parrots say, “Hi, we’re hot. Do you want a date?”

There are times when priests mean well, but they don't get it right at all. And other times, they are not even trying. In a recent case, a Michigan Reverand was suspended indefinitely for using his podium to denounce suicide at an 18-year-old's funeral.
Jeff and Linda Hullibarger were left in absolute shock when their son Maison's funeral was hijacked by Reverand Don Lacuesta who gave a doom and hellfire sermon about suicide, basically calling their son out as a sinner.
The Reverand reportedly ignored pleas by the family to stop his tirade, mentioning suicide at least six times and wondering if Maison had repented enough to ever get into Heaven.
The family, already devastated by the untimely loss of their sweet boy, reported the matter to the Diocese and the Reverand will no longer be allowed to talk at funerals, however, the damage has already been done to this family.
While suicide rates increase among children from as young as nine due to bullying and other factors, priests such as this will need to be more mindful to those left behind.
