Oprah's fitness journey is well-documented thanks to her partnership with Weight Watchers, but while people think she's just trying to lose weight, she was actually trying to deal with health problems that came with her previous size.

"I’m just trying to be as healthy as my body wants to be.”

Prevented Diabetes

The 65-year-old billionaire wrote a letter to Weight Watchers members ahead of Global Wellness Day, sharing that she had alarming blood sugar and blood pressure numbers.

"I haven’t shared with many, but I will share with you, that I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes before WW."

However, thanks to her partnership with the health and fitness company, her blood levels have gone back to normal in no time.

A Healthier Lifestyle

To her, the "WW" program changed her life, because aside from losing 42 pounds in the four years that she's supported the program, it helped her regain her strength and her health.

“Beyond the weight, WW has helped me make healthier choices and understand the real numbers that matter most.”

Now that she's adopted a healthier lifestyle, Winfrey doesn't care if she ever sheds another pound, because she feels great with herself now. In fact, her goal isn't to lose weight but to be as healthy as she can be.

Another woman whose life changed after Weight Watchers is "The Real" co-host Loni Love. She recently revealed that while she's tried numerous fad diets in the past, none of them ever worked and she just kept gaining weight.

Weight Watchers the Game Changer

However, since discovering WW, she never had to give up her favorite food just to lose weight. Revealing how WW has helped her take care of herself more, she said:

“I want to learn to keep eating real fresh food but make healthy choices so I can be my best.I also have great concerns for the overall health in my community and recognize we don’t take care of ourselves in the best way. Sometimes you need help. WW is a tool that can help!"

Oprah's Influence

Of course, Loni couldn't help but reveal that it was Oprah who inspired her to get on with the program, which ultimately allowed them to enjoy everything they love and lose weight at the same time.

“I was inspired by Oprah. She told me that I can still have my tequila shots, so I was sold!”
