In February 2018, Toni Braxton got engaged to Birdman who gave her a beautiful yellow diamond ring. Months later, she expressed her disappointment when her ring went missing from a bag she accidentally left on the plane and eventually recovered.

Recent events revealed the ring had been stolen from her bag along with other valuable pieces of jewelry. Last week, the singer testified in court against the man deemed responsible.

A heartbroken Braxton appeared in court on Thursday to share her side of the story in relation to what is now believed to be an in-flight theft of her belongings. The man who reportedly stole $2.5 million worth of jewelry from her including her $1 million engagement ring was an employee of a cleaning service for Delta Airlines, the airline company the 51-year-old took on her way to LA back in November when her luggage was lost.

Braxton mistakenly left her Louis Vuitton bag containing her jewelry after disembarking the plane. She later tweeted for assistance in finding it.

Three witnesses who also work for the cleaning company claimed they saw the man stealing the “Unbreak My Heart” singer’s ring as well as four expensive watches and a pair of vintage earrings.

However, it was unfortunate that when she recovered the bag, her jewelry was no longer inside. What was even more disappointing was the loss of her engagement ring.

“Whoever BORROWED it…PLEEEASE return it!!! I promise, no questions asked!” Braxton desperately pleaded in her tweet.

Amid the drama of losing her ring, fans thought Braxton wouldn’t need it anymore at the turn of the new year when she and Birdman seemed to imply that the engagement was off.

Braxton claimed she wasn’t wearing her ring during the flight because her fingers tend to swell while on board due to her existing medical condition. She has lupus.

In court last week, the “Braxton Family Values” star simply hoped the man who stole it would find it in his heart to return it to her.
