Man Shares His Wife Is Angry at Him for Using Dog Poop Bags as Gift Bags for His Daughter's Birthday Party

A man used dog poop bags as goody bags by accident for his daughter's birthday, and his wife got so mad at him.

Reddit user Throwawaydogbags took to the social forum recently to share his problem with his wife, who was angry at him for making a mistake in their child's birthday celebration.

"My daughter just turned 6," he wrote. "We had a birthday party for her on Saturday. That morning was pretty hectic. I was outside setting up and suddenly my wife comes outside yelling about how the grocery store screwed up the birthday cake and I didn't notice."

He added, "All that happened was that they spelled our daughter's name as 'Sarah' and it's 'Sara' and I said, 'who cares, just scrape off the H' but she insisted on returning it. So I said 'fine whatever.' And then as she's leaving she says since I screwed up already I should make (up for) it by finishing the decorations."

The man went to the kitchen and saw his daughter there. He asked her what the most important thing was and the girl said the gift bags.

"I found all the candy and toys and what I thought were the bags they were supposed to go into," he wrote. "So I make up the bags, my daughter helps, and she thinks they look great and she's happy with them."

When his wife returned home, she was satisfied with the new cake and the attempt he made at helping. A little while after that, the guests arrived.

"The day went pretty well until the end," he wrote. "My daughter reminds us that they need to hand out gift bags. My wife panics thinking she forgot about them, but she says '(don't) worry, dad made them' and she looked so relieved until I got the box. She looked inside (and) was horrified."

His wife was so embarrassed. "Those are dog poop bags," she said. She also told him that she would not show up at their child's school again.

"My wife will barely even speak to me even though my daughter thinks everything was fine," he wrote.

In another viral Reddit post, a mother shared about her disappointment when a little girl's mother gave all the guests Build-a-Bears to her daughter.

The party was held at Build-a-Bear (BAB). The Reddit user said she assumed children would get to take home the bear they created.

But the birthday girl's mother announced that the children would have to give all their animals to her daughter. This upset the guests.
