Daily Joke: Man Calls Home and Thinks He's Caught His Wife Cheating

A man called his wife to ask her something, but he got skeptical when this little daughter picked up the call to tell him that she was upstairs in the bedroom.

One fine afternoon, a man sat on his office desk, working on a proposal on his computer. A framed picture of himself and his wife sat on the desk.

The man gently reached out for the picture as he dialed her number to say that he missed her. After a few rings, their daughter answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi, honey. This is daddy. Could you please pass the phone to your mommy?"

"Just a minute, daddy. Mommy is upstairs in your bedroom with Uncle Paul."

A HUGE SHOCK

The man was surprised. A feeling of paranoia slowly started to brew inside his heart. After a short pause, he said, "But we don't have an uncle Paul, dear."

"But we do, daddy. He went upstairs with mommy a few minutes ago," the little girl insisted.

By now the man was pretty much convinced that his wife was cheating on him with someone man named Paul. He firmly placed the photo frame on the table, trying his best to calm down and think rationally.

After a moment, the man devised a plan to catch his wife red-handed with her lover. He gave some directions to his daughter to catch his wife off-guard.

CATCHING HER RED-HANDED

“Uh, okay then, this is what I want you to do. Put the phone down on the table, run upstairs and knock on the bedroom door and shout to Mommy that Daddy’s car just pulled into the driveway," he said.

"Okay, daddy," said the girl and rushed upstairs towards the bedroom. After a few minutes, she came back down to the phone and told her father that she did exactly what he asked her to do.

"So what happened, dear?" the man asked curiously.

"Umm, well, mommy did not like it when I told her that you were back. She jumped out of the bed without any clothes on started to panic. Then she tripped on the rug and hit her head on the dressing table," the little girl explained.

A MESSY SITUATION

"What?! What happened then?" asked the man. "She fell down and now she isn't moving," the girl replied.

Although the man was angry, he started to get worried about his wife. "And what happened to uncle Paul?" he stuttered.

"He jumped out of the bed without any clothes and tried to jump out of the window into the swimming pool. But there was no water in it so he hit the bottom and now I think he is dead."

The man was all sweaty. His hands trembled as he held the phone. But after a few seconds, a realization dawned on him.

"Wait, a swimming pool? Is this 486-5731?"
