Retired actor Robert Blake, better known for his role as detective Tony Baretta in the 70s television series “Baretta,” is the father of three kids, and his youngest daughter, Rose Lenore, is ready to follow his steps in Hollywood.

Robert Blake’s acting career started when he was a child and spanned almost six decades. He was one of the most popular actors of the ‘40s and ‘70s and had a prolific career that was marred when he was accused of murdering his second wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley.

ROBERT BLAKE'S RELATIONSHIP WITH BAKLEY

Robert Blake married his first wife, Sondra Blake (nee Kerr), in 1961. They welcomed two kids: son Noah Blake, and daughter Delinah Blake, before divorcing after 22 years of marriage in 1983.

Then, in 1999, Blake met Bonnie Lee Bakley, an aspiring actress who had been married nine times and who allegedly was obsessed with being a celebrity and pursuing famous men for money.

Bakley was dating Christian Brando, the son of Marlo Brando, at the same time she was seeing Blake, and when she got pregnant, she told both men the child was theirs.

However, when her daughter Rose Lenore was born, a DNA test proved Blake was the father. This prompted the actor to marry Bonnie out of a sense of obligation in November 2000.

A TRAUMATIC CHILDHOOD

Robert Blake’s daughter, Rose Lenore Sophia Blake, was only 11-months-old at the time her mom was murdered in May 2001 and her father became the principal suspect.

She lost both of her parents after the murder since Robert was sent to jail, and was raised by her older half-sister, Delinah, who won her custody in 2002.

Now a gorgeous 19-year-old, Rose made headlines last year when she decided to step into the spotlight for the first time and speak out on her complicated family.

“It’s hard when everyone talks about you, and you’re not talking about yourself,” the aspiring young actress told People. “I am now.”

Rose says she had a traumatic childhood and suffers from anxiety and depression. She has no memories of her mother and stopped seeing her father when she was 5.

However, when she turned 18, Rose knew it was time to face her past and reconnected with the side of her life she had been ignoring for so long.

RECONNECTING WITH HER DAD

She visited her mother’s grave for the first time and contacted her now 86-year-old father. Rose said their first meeting was awkward and they didn’t hug. She also calls him “Robert” and not “dad.”

“We talked about my childhood,” she revealed. “We talked about his life, what he’s been doing. Just talked about everything.”

Rose explicitly asked her father not to talk about her mother, and she confessed in an interview with ABC News that she doesn’t want to know if her father really murdered her mother.

“I don’t think I’m ready,” she said. “I know that sounds crazy. I feel like anyone would want to know the answer. I think I’ve gone 19 years not knowing, if all of a sudden I knew, whether or not he killed her, that would be shocking.”

MURDER SCANDAL

Six months after marrying Bonnie Lee Bakley, Robert Blake took her out for dinner at the Italian Vitello's Restaurant in Los Angeles. Before they left, Bakley was fatally shot to death while sitting in their car, which Robert had parked in a side street near the restaurant.

Bakley said he had returned to the restaurant to retrieve a gun he had forgotten and wasn’t present when the shooting took place. The said gun was later found and determined not to be the murder weapon.

Still, the actor was arrested and charged with the murder of his wife. He was also charged with two counts of solicitation of murder and one count of conspiracy to murder two stuntmen who had worked with him told police Robert had tried to hire them to kill Bonnie.

Blake pleaded not guilty to all charges and spent a year in jail while waiting for trial. He was eventually placed on house arrest and was acquitted of all charges in March 2005.

However, he was found liable for the wrongful death of his wife on a civil suit that Bakley’s older children filed against him. A judge ordered him to pay $30 million but he filed for bankruptcy that same year.

Robert Blake is now living in the California area and retired from acting back in the late 90s. He married for the third time in 2017 to a woman named Pamela Hudak but divorced one year later.
