The past few years have been well for Gabby Sidibe’s health as she took more significant measures to achieve a slimmer figure for a healthier lifestyle.

STRIKING A POSE

In a recent photo reposted by Sidibe, the actress was seen striking a pose in an all-black long-sleeved dress and colored heels.

Although she didn’t smile, Sibide looked great as she flaunted her curves, which were emphasized by the belt-like detail of her outfit.

Although she is not much of a cook, the “American Horror Story” actress explored different dishes she whipped up in her kitchen and shared them online

SIBIDE’S WEIGHT-LOSS JOURNEY

The actress underwent laparoscopic bariatric surgery in 2016 to shed off a few pounds, after struggling to do so through diet and exercise.

She initially had a trainer who helped her lose weight, which she did but only for a while. For years, Sibide repeatedly tried, but nothing happened to her body.

She dealt with harsh critics talking about her appearance growing up but only decided to go through the procedure after she and her brother were diagnosed with diabetes.

Since the operation, Sibide looked after her diet through meal plans, food diaries, and consultations with her nutritionist.

The “Empire” actress also started a workout routine, which she did for three to four times a week, accompanied by cardio through swimming and protein from a protein shake.

REFUSING COMMENTS ABOUT HER WEIGHT

Although she is happy with the pounds she shed off, Sibide does not welcome unsolicited remarks about her appearance. She said:

“Since I’ve been losing weight over the past year, people have been saying, ‘Congratulations on your weight loss!’ it doesn’t rock me. It just annoys me.”

As much as possible, she refrains from using social media because of the opinions many people feel they are entitled to give.

SIDIBE IN QUARANTINE

In recent weeks, the Sidibe has been observing quarantine with her boyfriend of almost a year, Brandon Frankel.

Although she is not much of a cook, the “American Horror Story” actress explored different dishes she whipped up in her kitchen and shared them online. She shared:

“THIS is my Cooking Apron. I’m cooking Maffe! It’s a Senegalese dish with peanut butter sauce.”

Despite the current circumstances, the actress remains safe at home, accompanied by her beau, who sometimes appears on her Instagram posts.
