According to CountryLiving, Meloni is an amateur woodworker. In March, he shared a photo of himself holding one of his carpentry creations — a cutting board.
The series will follow Elliott Stabler's journey to rebuild his life.
When he is not working on getting better at carpentry, Meloni seeks out entertainment on social media. He once took to his Twitter page to share a shirtless photo of himself wearing a kilt and white socks.
In another photo, the talented actor added a pair of tinted shades and a ruffled white shirt to the mix. The images caused quite a stir on Twitter as fans took to the comments section to lay on the compliments.
One fan wrote, "Hey Chris, can we get a WITHOUT shirt but WITH glasses? That might be the winning ticket here."
Meloni is best known for his role in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," where he played "Detective Elliott Stabler" — partner to Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) — for years before the crime drama's end in 2011.
Earlier this month, E! News revealed that Meloni would be dusting off his uniform to return to "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" for the 22nd season premiere.
He will also reportedly appear in the spinoff of the drama series, "Law & Order: Organized Crime." In the spinoff, Meloni's character returns to the NYPD after a jarring personal loss.
The series will follow Elliott Stabler's journey to rebuild his life while leading a new and elite crew tasked with taking down the city's strongest crime syndicates one after the other.
