TI Sets the Record Straight about His Relationship with Daughter Deyjah — See What He Had to Say

Entertainment icon, T.I. has come out to clear the air and let us know that things are cool with his daughter after a number of controversial exchanges left many wondering.

Successful rapper and Entertainer, Clifford J Harris, more commonly known as T.I., has spoken up about the recent tweets from his daughter Deyjah which had been the topic of speculations and suspicions in the last couple of days, after a comment on 'The Shade Room' on Instagram.

T.I. explained that contrary to the rumors, things were okay between himself and Deyjah and that her post advising parents to respect their children had been misconstrued.

It wasn't surprising that Deyjah's tweets had been taken to signal some kind of tension between herself and her father, considering the issues that came up recently between them.

The rapper posted snapshots of the conversation he had with his daughter and son concerning the issue, along with his daughter's tweet, comments from 'The Shade Room,' and his response to it.

T.I clearly wanted the whole thing resolved especially with all the pressure for Deyjah whose tweets were appearing on different online platforms. He appealed:

"...Let her LIVE cuzz…she finding her place in the world & doesn’t deserve to be under the microscope every step of the way..."

Deyjah, who had also made a cryptic comment about having to love a person from a distance because of her well-being was clearly very upset about people making such a big deal about her simple comments.

As noted by MadameNoire, it wasn't surprising that Deyjah's tweets had been taken to signal some kind of tension between herself and her father, considering the issues that came up recently between them.

It would be recalled that there'd been a bit of family drama following T. I.'s controversial comments about his daughter's physiology and virginity in November last year on a podcast show, with Deyjah admitting to feeling deeply embarrassed and hurt.

As recounted by People, the 18-year-old, in an emotional confession to her cousins had shared that she felt like everything had changed between her and her father who she felt should have come to her to talk about the whole thing instead of acting like it wasn't a big deal.

As reported by Complex, there had been a lot of tension between the two for a while after which the rapper realized he had acted wrongly. The rapper had explained:

" I was wrong. I am willing to accept full accountability, one hundred percent, for everything I may have said that shouldn't have been said"

T.I also apologized to his daughter, reminding her about how much he loves her, and that although he always wanted to protect her, he realized that he needed to treat her like an adult.
