J Lo & A-Rod Slammed for Posting Thanksgiving Photo in a Luxurious Private Jet — See Reactions

It is no secret that celebrities live rich and opulent lifestyles. However, there is also the criticism that celebrities get for showing off their lifestyles now and then. Such is the case of Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez.

Earlier this week, retired baseball superstar Alex Rodriguez caught some backlash on social media for his Thanksgiving post. He had shared a picture of his partner, award-winning singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, on Instagram. The snap featured Lopez snuggled up on a private jet as the family traveled.

Rodriguez's snap also featured one of the couple's pets – a cute dog named Lady. Lopez looked busy on the phone, while an acquaintance was also visible in the background.

The retired baseball star went on to share some of his thoughts on Thanksgiving, adding that the family was blessed to be headed back home. In his caption, Rodriguez said:

"Lady is definitely ready for #Thanksgiving! ? We have so much to be grateful for and are excited to be heading home to spend time with family. What are your holiday plans?"

However, what was supposed to have been a regular Thanksgiving-themed post appeared to have struck some followers the wrong way. One follower commented that the snap was unnecessary, considering that many people have struggled throughout this year.

Another user added that the Hermes throw pillow on Lopez alone could feed people for Thanksgiving.

The common theme appeared to have been that Rodriguez and Lopez were insensitive to many Americans' struggles. 2020 has been a pretty tough year for many, and not a lot of people have the luxury of flying private. One commenter wrote:

"Tone deaf celebrity flexing their wealth while people have no jobs no homes and suffering through covid epidemic… No one cares about your Hermes blanket and private jet."

Another user added that the Hermes throw pillow on Lopez alone could feed people for Thanksgiving. Rodriguez has yet to comment on any of the reactions.

While the comments express a significant concern, many of them might strike as being unfair. Celebrities could flaunt their wealth sometimes, but many of them also give back.

As for the couple, this is definitely not their first time showing off their private jet. Following their engagement vacation last year, Lopez and Rodriguez shared videos of their private jet celebrations, including some donuts and champagne. This is not the type of scandal to cost any of them much, but they sure do not want to celebrate Thanksgiving being perceived as insensitive.
