Man Refuses to Kick Out Nephew for His Sister to Move In
A 35-year-old man recently took to a popular forum to share his problem with his sister. His problem with her began when she asked if she and her family could move in with him.
Writing to Reddit, the man, who is currently working from home full time, explained that his house's layout is crucial to him. Back in April, his nephew, Alec, came home from college because of the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic.
Alec, the oldest of six children, reached out to him, and he let him move into the "mother-in-law suite," which is located in the basement of his house. Since then, Alec has been living with him.

He said they have had no issues. His nephew does not pay rent, nor does he wants him to, the man shared. A couple of weeks ago, his younger sister Ann came over.
His sister and her husband are having financial problems since her husband lost his job. Anne asked if they could move in with him for a while. The man wrote:
"I told her that I didn't think it would work because I only have one empty bedroom."

Ann told him that she figured she and her family would move onto the mother-in-law suite. The man said he told her no because that was Alec's area.
Knowing what was coming next, he spoke to his nephew, telling him what his aunt asked. He also told Alec that it was his decision whether or not to give up his space.
The man said he thinks they are ridiculous.

The latter, however, did not want to move upstairs. Meanwhile, Ann said okay after she calmed down and told him that they would take his bedroom instead.
The man said he told her no. Ann then began ranting about how he never help her. She was yelling at him, the man said. "I told her that I was not throwing Alec out of what we both think of as his space for her," he wrote.

Ann stormed out and starting complaining to their family. The man explained that his oldest sister, Alec's mother, thinks that Alec should move back with their younger sister and that she should get the mother-in-law suite.
The man said their mother agrees with her, adding that he told them they do not get to vote on what happens with his house. He continued that they were all angry with him and Alec for not helping Ann.

They were all angry with him and Alec. The man said he thinks they are ridiculous. Still, according to him, he needs other people's opinions about his situation.
Here's another family drama shared on Reddit. One bride-to-be was in trouble with her family after she refused to invite her autistic nephew for her wedding day.
