A woman moved into the same neighborhood her ex-fiancé now lives with his wife. Though she feels terrible about it, Reddit users believe she can live wherever she wants.
A woman took to Reddit, asking users if it was wrong of her to move into the same neighborhood where her ex-fiancé, Matt, lives with his wife.
The woman explained that her relationship with Matt came to an end after finding out he was having an affair with someone named Claire. The two would later get married.
While the woman was engaged to Matt, they were already looking to move into a new house and had found one before she caught him cheating. After the breakup, he moved into the house with Claire.
The drama happened four years ago, and now the woman has moved on. She is currently engaged to a man with whom she lives. According to her, they had been living in his house until two months ago when he decided to do some renovations.
While the house was being renovated, the woman and her fiancé were forced to look for a temporary residence until they could move back in the place. They ended up finding a comfortable home in the same neighborhood where Matt lives with his wife, Claire.
The woman and fiancé have stayed in the neighborhood for two months. She explained that their first month there was very peaceful, and by the second month, she was already friends with some neighbors.
She soon got introduced to Claire, who threw a tantrum about the woman stalking Matt because she wants him back. Interestingly, Matt started trying to make conversation with the woman.
Things escalated one day when Claire caught Matt talking to the woman and started yelling. Altogether, it was an embarrassing situation.
Following the incident, Claire's friends and family took to social media, pressuring the woman to move out of the neighborhood because she was a threat to their good marriage.
The woman further explained that even though they pay their rent monthly, she does not think it's fair for her to move out of a place she loves.
After sharing her story, Reddit users took the comments section, leaving their opinion about the issue. One user wrote, "You are NOT obligated to move because they can't stand you being there."
Another user added, "You can live wherever you want, just ignore them," with many others leaving similar comments for the woman. What would you advise?
Speaking of lovers, here's another interesting story about a woman who helps her daughter's boyfriend against his parents' wishes.
