Craig Melvin and Wife Show Love to His Look-Alike Mother on Her 65th Birthday
The Melvin clan came back stronger after losing their eldest son, Lawrence Meadows. They recently celebrated their matriarch Betty Jo Melvin who turned a big 65.
Broadcast Journalist Craig Melvin took to Instagram to share an adorable post celebrating his beloved mother who he bears a striking resemblance to. He captioned the post:
"My mother is celebrating a milestone today. She shouldn't mind me telling you. 65 years young. Betty Jo Melvin is the matriarch and rock. We love you.."

The post, which attracted over 28k likes, engaged the star's followers as they wished the celebrant a happy birthday in the comment section. A certain fan commented:
"Happy 65th birthday Mrs. Melvin."
Craig's lovely post showed his mother in an attractive printed gown, smiling warmly in the middle of her two sons, Ryan and Craig, who were dressed in white and pink suits, respectively.
Greatly loved by her family, another picture of the celebrant in a furry coat holding her grandchild made it to the gram as Craig's wife, Lindsay Czarniak, celebrated her mother-in-law.

However, the excitement was a bit dampened as followers sympathized with the mother of three, Betty, who lost her eldest son, Lawrence Meadows, some weeks ago.
After Lawrence was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer at 39 years old, he passed away at 43 on December 9. The Melvin clan mourned the loss, taking solace in knowing he is resting in peace.
Craig wrote in the caption of a touching post that the deceased was a husband to his childhood sweetheart, Angela, father to two children, Addie and Lawson, a Baptist minister, entrepreneur, and a genuinely good man.
Appearing on the "Today" show, Melvin explained he's doing better and thanked the "Today" family and fans for sharing supportive messages during the sad time.
Craig also enjoys the support of his lovely wife, Lindsay, with who he tied the knot in October 2011. The duo shares two biracial children, Delano and Sybil.
Being a family man, the moment Craig and his wife, Lindsay, became parents, the television host put aside his professional responsibilities and focused on parenting.
