Every couple tying the knot has their own idea of the perfect wedding night. But the envisioned romance doesn't always work out as planned - evident by the following ten wedding night mishaps.

10. A RED AND JUICY SOIRÉE

Sharing his story on social media, a groom explained how plans on the perfect wedding night went sideways. After renting a small cabin for the evening, the groom asked a female friend to adorn the place with flower petals.

And she certainly did. When the newlyweds arrived at the hut, the area was adorned with flowers on the floor, the couch, and, of course, the bed.

The newlyweds have had a great evening filled with champagne, and upon arriving at the cabin, romance soon followed. However, the next morning the couple had a surprise.

Their evening of passion caused the flower petals to stain everything, including the bride's wedding dress, which looked stained with red petal juice like everything else in the room.

The couple ended up spending their first day as a married couple scrubbing the floor and losing their damage deposit.

9. FIRST DUTY AS A SPOUSE

A couple kept the fun at the wedding reception going by continuing the party at the groom's place afterward. However, the groom indulged in alcohol a bit much, and he got sick on the bed.

The bride then spent her first evening as a wife washing bed linen and cleaning up after her drunk and passed out husband.

8. HYPERSENSITIVITY

A friend of newlyweds shared how their first night as spouses ended with a trip to the emergency room. The couple waited until they got hitched to be physically intimate, so they had no idea it would turn out badly.

The newlyweds decided to use a condom as protection, but the groom soon experienced discomfort to the degree that he took the condom off. But it didn't solve the problem.

Swelling and redness ensued, so the couple went straight to the emergency room only to find out that the groom has a latex allergy.

7. THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES

These newlyweds had a disastrous wedding day. First, the couple lost their original venue and quickly had to find another location for the ceremony.

Secondly, the bride's parents got upset because of the venue issue, so they did not attend the celebration. And to top it all off, the lovebirds found bedbugs in their hotel room.

On your wedding night, babysitting doesn't fit activities associated with romance, but one bride's parents asked her to look after her 11-year-old brother while they made the best of their hotel room at the reception venue.

Additionally, the groom started a new job shortly before the wedding, and he had to go to work at midnight on their big day.

5. TOO TIRED FOR THAT

A couple was engaged for over a year before they tied the knot. To make their wedding night more special, the pair decided to abstain from physical intimacy a month before to have the "fireworks experience."

However, at the end of a very stressful wedding day, the couple was tired but encouraged by the alcohol in their systems. Trying to force the ultimate romantic night failed miserably, and they had the first "crappy" sexual experience in their relationship.

4. RICE? REALLY?

Another groom recounted what happened after the reception. He and his wife got to their room and found out the best man had played a prank on them.

He had put rice on everything: bed sheets, bathroom, suitcase, and clothes. But the newlyweds didn't let the best man get away with it.
