Teen Asked Stranger to Buy Food for Him & His Disabled Mom, Man Decided to Help Them with a House
Going about his regular grocery shopping, a young man did not hesitate to extend a helping hand and go the extra mile after being approached by a young stranger looking for his next meal.
An act of kindness never goes out of style, and it is indeed the spice of life. This can be the best way to describe how Matt White from Memphis went the extra mile for a young stranger who was impoverished but purposeful.
In a Facebook post that went viral, White opened up about how he met 16-year-old Chauncy Jones Black, who was out at night trying to do menial jobs so he could get food for himself and his mother.

CHAUNCY BLACK WAS TRYING TO GET FOOD
Matt White, 30, took to his Facebook page, recalling how he met the young boy. He noted that Chauncy Black approached him while he was shopping and asked if he could help transfer the items into his car.
White shared that Black's bargain was to get some glazed donuts after he helped with the groceries. The simple request tugged at White's heart, and this was when he really looked at the teenager. White described:
"This kid looked like he had been turned down 100 times. He looked ashamed, hungry and broken. In my heart I screamed a loud 'yes!,' but to him, I just chuckled and said 'yeah dude.'"
White agreed to Black's request, but instead, the grocery shopping turned into a spontaneous evening of purchasing items for the youngster and his mother. White explained that they got many food items and essential home goods.
WHITE FOLLOWED THE BOY HOME
After shopping, White thought it was best to take Black home instead of letting him hop on a bus. When they got to the boy's house, the kind stranger noted that Black did not lie about his situation.
He described the pathetic state of Black's home, noting that they slept on pads and had absolutely nothing in the fridge. He also noticed that the boy's mother was disabled.
White shared that he helped pack the food into the kitchen, hugged the youngster, and told him God loved him. The touching story did not take long to gain traction, as internet users became interested in helping.
BLACK IS A PURPOSEFUL YOUNGSTER
Despite his downtrodden background, young Black had high hopes for the future. On the day he met White, the teenager explained that he was a straight A's student keen on owning businesses when he grew older.

Black shared his dreams of creating jobs for people in his community to curb the lack. White was ready to help actualize that dream, so he set up a GoFundMe page and put up a photo of the promising young man.
The fundraiser raised above $103,000 two weeks after its creation. White used the money to get a suitable apartment for the boy and his mother.
