2-Year-Old Girl Falls Asleep in a Cop's Arms While Her Dad Is in Court
A father was needed in court but didn't have anyone to babysit his two-year-old daughter. He left her outside the courtroom and was surprised by what he found when he returned.
A dad had no other option but to bring his child along to his court hearing. The little girl was seen on CCTV footage as she walked around the room and kept her father on his toes. However, he was eventually called inside.
He had to leave his daughter behind because children could not attend the proceedings. Thankfully, the little girl was not alone for long because a caring police officer went above his call of duty when he saw her wandering the hallway.

THE FATHER WAS SURPRISED WHEN HE RETURNED
Not only did Officer Kevin Norris step up to look after the child, but he also offered her treats and water before he showed her cartoons on his phone. His warmth resulted in a sweet moment between the two.
When the father exited the courtroom, he was stunned by what he saw—his daughter was fast asleep on the officer's lap. The dad was thankful, and the heartwarming footage was uploaded online by Norris's superiors.

THE HUMBLE OFFICER
Netizens agreed that the world would be much better if more people behaved like Norris. A user complimented him by saying: "This touched my heart. I love human beings like him."
Norris's superiors pointed out that the officer was a father first and a cop second, and many agreed with that sentiment. However, Norris wished the attention was not on him. The humble officer expressed:
"I'm thankful it shined a positive light on law enforcement. I just wish it wasn't shining on me."
ANOTHER COP LOOKS AFTER A CHILD
Police officers have to be adaptable and learn to wear many hats. They serve and protect their communities, sometimes by babysitting young children. One cop comforted a little girl after a car accident in 2016.
The youngster's mother fled the scene, and LAPD officer John Neal Cooke ensured the two-year-old was doing fine. He read her a story to take her mind off the night's events and was applauded for his care and consideration.
Both Cooke and Norris served their communities well and stepped in when needed. They went above and beyond and deserved all the praise that came their way.
