Deborah Rennard was an actress well-known for portraying Sly Lovegren on the hit soap opera, "Dallas." Some might also recognize her from her role in 1990's "Lionheart" movie, where she played Cynthia Caldera.

The star, who appeared in almost 200 episodes of "Dallas", was recently seen looking different during a rare outing. The "Law & Order" star showed up to an event in California sporting a straighter haircut instead of her usual curls.

Rennard looked gorgeous in a black jacket with a deep V neckline and a matching sheer top underneath. However, she looked very different from her "Dallas" days at age 63.

In the past, the star who played J.R. Ewing's secretary looked fuller and plumper. She used to have long, wavy, and fuller hair. However, during her recent appearance, she sported thinner, straighter hair, though she still beamed and looked stunning in photos taken from the occasion.

Rennard, who featured in "Dallas" from 1981 to 1991, was born in Los Angeles County, California, before becoming a producer and actress known for many shows and films like 2020's "FBI: Most Wanted."

Her first and only husband was Paul Haggis, whom she was married to from June 21, 1997, until their divorce on May 11, 2016. The couple welcomed one child, James Haggis, during their union, but the actress was also the stepmother to three of Haggis' children—Alissa Sullivan, Lauren Haggis, and Katy Haggis.

The "Show Me a Hero" star's ex-husband was a producer, writer, and director who was an Oscar Award recipient. However, his personal life was also riddled with controversy.

Sadly for the actress, her marriage failed because of something Haggis did while they were together. However, when he faced the law for some accusations, Rennard came to his rescue.

Rennard's private life was covered in controversy. In 2022, her ex-husband faced trial for accusations of sexual assault of a woman. While taking the stand, the "Crash" writer and director (who earned $94,000 for his involvement in the crime drama) broke down crying, admitting:

"I've always been a flirt."

Also during the hearing, Haggis confessed to having cheated on Rennard during their marriage and asked her to forgive him for his infidelities. Rennard admitted that Haggis had cheated on her with around 20 women during their 12-year marriage.

However, Haggis denied the accusations of sexual assault he was being tried for. Instead, he accused the Church of Scientology of being behind the accusations in an effort to destroy his life after he spoke against them.

Speaking to a Manhattan Supreme Court jury in the third week of his trial, Haggis said he'd been nervous about testifying but happy to clear his name after five years of being unable to.

Speaking on his character, the actress said she met him 26 years before, and he had bad credit then after co-signing mortgages so his six friends could afford homes.

The then-69-year-old director emphasized that he was "sorry" for cheating on his ex-wife, and he was grateful to the actress for being present in the courtroom when few people would stand up for a person in complicated situations like the one he was facing.

Rennard's ex revealed that she had become his best friend after their divorce. While crying, Paul noted how the actress was in the courtroom and that few people stood up for a person in complicated situations like that.

The "Dallas" star, who admitted to being best friends with her ex after their divorce, testified in his defense the same morning he took the stand.

Rennard shared in court that she found the allegations against her children's father "hard to believe" and inconsistent with what she knew about him for over 30 years.

In her statement, the star said she wasn't someone who courageously stood up for others or spoke out for the underdog, as that would be what Haggis would do. She described the director as selfless, caring, and generous.

Speaking on his character, the actress said she met him 26 years before, and he had bad credit then after co-signing mortgages so his six friends could afford homes. Sadly, all those people defaulted on their loans, resulting in Haggis' bankruptcy.

Haggis was first married to Diane Christine Gettas. The former couple initially tied the knot on April 9, 1977, welcomed their three children, and then divorced in 1997.

Rennard and Haggis' son, James, ended up following in his parents' footsteps in the entertainment industry by becoming an actor. His career appeared to have started when he landed a spot in his father's project, "Crash," in 2004.

A few years later, in 2007, James got another role in "In The Valley of Elah." This year, the actress' son is set to star in "Gran Turismo," a movie based on a true story, as part of the additional crew of the loop group.
