A woman took to Reddit to share her frustrations with her mother-in-law. She'd planned her birth down to the last detail, and her mother-in-law decided to ruin it without telling her.
The 30-year-old was in labor to give birth to her third child. As her first two births were traumatic for her, her mother saw her through the processes and calmed her down during each childbirth.

So, she'd planned everything months before her due date to ensure everybody knew the plan. Her husband would drive her to the hospital while her mother-in-law would pick up the woman's mom, children, and grandmother, who were all in one house.
Her mother-in-law and mom were supposed to be in the delivery room with her. Her grandmother would watch the two children in the waiting room as they wanted to be the first to see their sibling.

Everyone agreed with the plan. The woman insisted on having her mother there for moral support, especially after what she'd gone through during her first two birthing experiences.
"She helped me through so much of the mental anguish and panic, especially after my last," she shared. Giving birth to her second son almost killed her, and her mother kept her calm.

Her Birth Plan Didn't Happen the Way She Wanted
When the woman went into labor, the couple called their moms so they could prepare. Over an hour later, the woman's mother-in-law showed up without the woman's mom, children, and grandmother. Her excuse was that at 9:30 p.m., people were bound to be asleep. She sat down inside the delivery room and started using her phone.

The woman refused to accept her answer and demanded her mother-in-law get her mother. She explained that this was the plan and that her mother-in-law needed to pick up the woman's mother as initially planned. Her mother-in-law refused. She said she wasn't up for the drive, as it'd take two hours to and from the area.

After hearing this, the woman was livid. She asked her mother-in-law to leave the room and told her she was dead to her. Admittedly, the woman felt nothing but disgust and resentment towards her mother-in-law.
However, her mother-in-law wouldn't back down without a fight and angrily responded that the woman's mother already got to experience the first two births and that she did nothing wrong.

The Woman Hated Her Mother-In-Law for What Happened
When she refused to leave the delivery room, she was escorted out. After the woman's insistence, her mom made it to the hospital without the woman's two kids and grandmother.

It bothered her a lot that her children weren't there because they wanted to be the first to meet their sister. "I cannot forgive my MIL for this at all. I honestly feel like I hate her with every fiber of my being," the woman admitted.
While her emotions are clear, some people in their circle told her she took it too far and that what happened wasn't a big deal. She asked Reddit users for opinions, and they did not disappoint.
"Being in labor and giving birth was THE most vulnerable time in my entire life. Hands down. I was so scared, and in so much pain, and needed people to be there for me. To have someone not support you during it is INCREDIBLY violating and absolutely worthy of no-contact," one person shared.
"Op, this sinister woman did this on purpose. She wanted to be your family's ride so she could cut them out because she's jealous of your mother. The way it all played out was extremely obvious," another said.
People also wondered where the woman's husband was while everything played out. They felt he was eliminated from the equation when he should have been mediating the entire situation.
What would you have done if you were in the woman's shoes? Do you think her feelings were valid? In a similar story, a bride demanded to kick her mother-in-law out of her wedding. Rather than side with his mom, the groom supported his wife's decision.
