Aging is an inevitable process and affects all people differently. Some develop wrinkles in places where there never were; for others, they begin to become homebodies where they used to be party animals. For many, hair is one of the most significant changes.

As one ages, one's body stops producing as much melanin, the protein that causes color in our skin and hair. Lower production of melanin leads to hair losing its color. For some, this process is fine.

However, some people cannot stand the thought of losing their hair color and will do anything to ensure they do not go gray. This may mean dyeing their hair or cropping it closer to the scalp.

If you do not want the world to peek at your gray hairs and are not a fan of the buzz cut, we have six hair colors right here that will cover your greys so nobody notices them.

Lavender

Lavender gray hair is the perfect way to cover your grays and give you some color at the same time. Lavender gray is a silver hairstyle with a slight purple tinge.

The purple provides body and texture for the hair, while the silver acts as the perfect way to ensure that your grays are easily concealed.

Warm Brown Tones

While having light colors in your hair is great at hiding grays, not every person feels comfortable with fair hair. If you're one of these people, try asking your colorist for warm brown tones to cover your greys.

If you have had dark hair all your life, you don't need to give it up just because you're aging. Dye your grays to suit your natural hair color and ensure you maintain the dye; no one will be the wiser.

Rose Gold Layers

If you believe blondes have more fun, why not add red to the mix? Rose gold hair is blonde with just a splash of red, resulting in a beautiful blonde-red color reminiscent of traditional red hair.

However, unlike a redhead, a person with rose gold layers can easily hide the grays as the blonde component blends well with the lighter color of the greys and hides them amongst the blonde.

Chocolate Brown

Chocolate brown hair is a deep brown tone that ensures your grays will be easily covered as the tone is so dark and dynamic.

Having chocolate brown hair requires constant maintenance, though, because you will be able to see your grays far more clearly when they grow out.

Radiant Red

The beauty industry has been awash for years with the myth that redheads don't go gray. While the myth is not true, it is the perfect color to cover your grays.

Dyeing your grays a cool copper shade will allow your red dye to fade into a beautiful light red color that will blend well with your grays, disguising them easily.

Champagne Blonde

This may be your perfect hair color if you've always considered yourself quite feminine. Champagne blonde is a mix between pale pink and `golden blonde. It differs from the usual blonde hair colors as it is iridescent.

If you dye your hair champagne blonde, you will likely find that it adds shine and youthful quality to the hair that may have been missing in something like beige blonde.

If you're a person who's proud of your grays, you have to know how to take care of them. Ensure you find the proper cut for your hair. Your grays will also be a different texture to the rest of your hair, so ask your colorist how best to maintain an even texture.

Your diet also impacts your hair, so try to ensure that you're eating healthily and hydrating frequently so your hair remains healthy. Just like our skin, our hair is sensitive to sun damage. Try to keep your hair out of the sun, too. Most importantly, enjoy the greying journey!
