A woman was worried that her bridesmaid would ruin her big day, so she turned to an online bridal group to ask for advice. Instead, she was slammed for being so inconsiderate.

Many bridal groups on social media see women complaining about things going wrong on their big day because of outside influences. Most times, advice is doled out, and the women are able to save their day.

However, sometimes, the tragedies the bride faces are relatively miniscule in the eyes of others. This was the case for one woman who took to social media to air her grievances, only to be told she was being ridiculous.

The woman anonymously shared her story on a bridal group as she said the bridesmaid was on the platform. Another person screenshotted her post and reposted it because they were so shocked.

What Did the Bride Say?

The bride took to Reddit to anonymously share that she and her bridesmaids had come together for their monthly meeting so they could discuss the agenda of the wedding and the order in which things were meant to go.

At this meeting, the bride noticed one of her bridesmaids had "quite a number of [gray] hairs." She was horrified to see that her 30-year-old bridesmaid had gray hair and told her she should dye it before the wedding.

The bridesmaid quickly informed the bride that she could not dye her hair because it would be too expensive to go to the hairdresser, and she couldn't use box dye because she was allergic to it. The bride lamented:

"It's really unsightly, and I'm worried it's going to take away from the beauty of the dress I chose for her."

The bride then asked if anybody had any suggestions about what she could do regarding the bridesmaid before saying that paying for her to have her hair done was not an option as she had already exhausted her bridesmaid budget.

The bride was concerned because her wedding was ten weeks away, and she thought the bridesmaid's hair would only get worse before her big day. However, the bride received little advice and plenty of criticism.

What Did People Say?

The bride was looking for some people to give her sound advice on how she could handle her bridesmaid having gray hair on her wedding day, yet she received only mocking and critical comments.

The person who reposted the bride's original post said they had been in the wedding industry for over a decade and had never seen something like that. The person joked:

"This is, without a doubt, one of the most unhinged posts I've seen on a bride's group."

Others who saw the post were just as shocked, saying the bride should focus less on the beauty of the dress and more on the beauty of the person wearing it. The commenter added that people looked most beautiful when they felt good about themselves.

Another person wondered why getting married made people think it was okay to act this way and said that shaming someone for having gray hair was awful and that nobody cared about that.

One commenter addressed the bride directly, saying the only thing that would take away from the beauty of the dress she had chosen for her bridesmaid would be the ugliness of the bride's personality.

The bride received many comments in the same vein, and the person who reposted the story hoped it was all a joke. Another commenter quipped:

"I would be getting [gray] hairs, too, when dealing with such a bridezilla!"

Many other commenters wondered how the bride thought her bridesmaid would not recognize the situation, even though the bride had posted anonymously. They felt the bridesmaid would know it was her because the situation was so specific.

Dealing with bridezillas is not uncommon in the wedding industry, with thousands of brides each year making ridiculous demands on their vendors, guests, and wedding parties. One bride even called the cops on her mother-in-law with her groom's support. Read the full story here.
