Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock has a massive real estate portfolio. Over the years, she acquired and sold some of her properties, including renting one for $30,000 per month.

Bullock listed her West Coast home in September 2022. A friend of hers, Alan Long, happened to be one of the realtors of the property listing at the time. Dubbed a "sanctuary," the mansion was listed at $6 million and boasted three separate lots. The first lot which was renovated, is a single-story adobe-style ranch that sits on 6,000 square feet.

The ranch reportedly boasts four ensuite bedrooms with bathrooms, an eat-in gourmet kitchen with wide-plank wood flooring, a La Courne oven range, a dining area with a cushioned window seat, and a beamed ceiling.

The house also features a Creston Smart Home system, six indoor fireplaces, three outdoor fireplaces, a gated central courtyard with flowering vines and a fountain, a saltwater pool, and a spa.

It also features several walking trails with about 1,200 high-quality groves of organic avocado and citrus trees, which, according to Long, were already growing on the land when Bullock acquired the estate. Moreover, there is a walk-in chicken coop and an electric/charging station.

Long revealed that Bullock expanded the property by adding walking paths, the pool, and importing ancient olive trees. He further said the house boasts "views that call Tuscany to mind."

The second lot of the estate was reportedly reserved as a home-building site at the time and featured a barn with a horse corral. Meanwhile, the third lot, which spans 30 acres, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with several outbuildings.

According to the listing at the time, there was an option where the property could have been purchased without the third lot. Meanwhile, Long revealed Bullock's plans, saying, "She is looking for a farm closer to her sister on the East Coast."

Sandra Bullock Sells Her California Farm Home

Bullock eventually sold her 91-acre hilltop avocado farm outside San Diego in December 2022 for a reported $5.6 million, below the initial asking price of $6 million.

The sale finally went through on November 9, 2022, and the estate was purchased by a Newport Beach-based company called IAAA LLC.

The A-list actress bought her Valley Center home in 2007 for $2.7 million, and the Mediterranean-style abode was one of its kind. The farm has a unique location in Valley Center, as many similar properties in the area can serve agricultural purposes.

If one is looking for privacy, the area can offer that because it is isolated. There are nearby nature adventures at Palomar Mountain and the greater Cleveland National Forest.

Many local people were reportedly surprised to learn that Bullock owned a property in the area on Couser Canyon Road for 15 years. But it was actually in the open as she once revealed during an on-screen interview in August 2013 that she owned an avocado and citrus ranch, which reportedly brings "calmness and serenity."

Sandra Bullock Took a Step Back from Acting to Be with Loved Ones

A year after selling her San Diego home, Bullock was spotted with her younger sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, on social media. The Hollywood star's sibling is a pastry chef and a television personality.

In March 2023, Bullock-Prado, an author, excitedly revealed on Instagram that her cookbook, "My Vermont Table," made it to the New York bestseller list.

She posted a video that showed her holding her book and beaming with pride as she shared the great news from the kitchen. Meanwhile, her big sister could be seen celebrating with her as she moved back and forth behind her, making a statement about the achievement.

In March 2022, Bullock announced that she would be taking a break from Hollywood for a while. However, she did not precisely divulge how long she would be on a hiatus, saying she needed to be in an environment that brought her happiness.

A year after Bullock stepped back from acting to be with her family and sold her farm to move closer to her sister, it turned out that she had been caring for her longtime partner, Bryan Randall.

Randall had battled ALS for three years before he sadly passed away in August 2023 at age 57. His family released a statement in the wake of his death, revealing he had chosen to deal with the condition privately and that those who took care of him at the time managed to honor his wishes by keeping it under the radar.

It turns out Bullock was one of those people who cared for the photographer. The film producer's sister Bullock-Prado made it known on Instagram while paying a heartfelt tribute to Randall on Instagram alongside a picture of him widely smiling.

The attorney said she was sure he had "found the best fishing spot in heaven." She also noted how ALS is a brutal disease, adding, "There is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home. Rest in peace, Bryan."

Bullock-Prado told her followers that instead of flowers, they should donate to the ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital and shared a link on her bio.
