The first Redditor revealed that shortly after his high school graduation, he met a girl at a pool hall who had the same name as his mother, Jacqueline. They were both born and bred in the same city, and the Original Poster (OP) said he made nothing of this, thinking it may only be a coincidence.

A few months later, OP and the girl started dating, and she introduced him to her parents. OP said the father swore that he had seen him before. Several weeks later, he visited his girlfriend at work, and she dropped a bombshell on him, telling him why her father thought he looked familiar. OP recounted:

"'Turns out, he dated your mom in high school, then named his daughter after her."

A second Reddit user shared that a company he worked for gradually started to fail years ago. OP began looking for another job and eventually landed one.

He gave his manager two weeks' notice, telling him they had found another job. The manager asked where OP would be working, and he revealed the company's name. It turns out the manager had applied for the same position. OP said to his colleague, "I'm sorry to tell you that you didn't get it."

A third Redditor revealed that he planned a weekend trip to Barcelona with a girl when studying abroad in England. At the time, there were no cell phones, and to his dismay, he overslept.

OP arrived at the airport three hours later. Once he and the girl met, they simultaneously said, "I am SO sorry...Wait, what are you sorry for?" The girl admitted that she also overslept, but luckily for them, British Airways changed their tickets for them at no charge. The pair arrived in Barcelona a few hours late.

A fourth Reddit user divulged that he once went on a date with a girl who was not his type. OP did not contact the girl after their first date. A month later, he got a new job, and on the first day, the boss introduced him to the person who would be training him. OP remembered:

One other Redditor recalled a time when he was job hunting in his early 20s. He arrived at an interview and noticed the interviewer was unaware he would be coming.

The man reluctantly walked OP into the office and started asking him questions. He asked him why he wanted to work there, and OP said he liked helping people. But the man dismissed his response.

OP said the rest of the interview was merely a formality and sarcastically told the interviewer, "Sorry to bother you." Once at home, he felt defeated, and shortly after, he received a voicemail asking where he was for his interview. The company told OP to contact them if he was still interested in the job.

After hearing this, OP decided to compare the name, number, and company name using the company's business card he had been given. OP revealed:

"It turns out I was on the wrong floor. I just walked into a random company and was given an interview. But yeah, I didn't get either job."

One last Reddit user recalled when she and her family resided in Florida in the early 2000s. Her father started seeing double and he went to an eye doctor. The parent, who was healthy, explained his symptoms to the doctor.

The medical professional picked up a book on eye problems and found the symptoms that OP's father had been describing. The parent was shown the book, which contained medical information that explained what he had been experiencing, and it also had a picture of a child from the 1960s.

Upon seeing it, OP's dad said, '"Doc, that's me!' The doctor says, 'Yes, those are the symptoms you are showing,' My Dad says, 'No, really that's me in the picture!'"

According to OP, it turns out her father had had the same eye problem as a child, and it was so rare that they took a picture of him in the 1960s in Ohio and put him in a book on rare eye issues. The dad did not recall taking the photo but got a copy of it and took it home.
