Woman Ruins Future Daughter-in-Law's Life for 6 Years, So Girl's Family Cracks Down on Her on 'Wedding Day'

When a woman and her family attended her son's wedding in black mourning clothes, they had no idea the bride and groom knew about their plan and had formulated their revenge.

A woman did not like her son's choice of bride and made it clear to both that she was unhappy about their union. However, when she threatened to ruin their wedding day, the couple had had enough.

The couple decided to get revenge on the groom's mother by staging an incredibly public plan. When the family knew what the bride and groom had planned, it was too late for anyone to do anything.

When a woman from Germany's son told her he was dating a woman of Sinti background, meaning she was seen as a gypsy, she was miserable, projecting her own prejudices onto the girl. However, her son remained loyal to his partner and wanted to marry her.

What Did the Mother-In-Law Do?

The girl's mother-in-law (MIL) assumed she was dishonest and a scam artist because of her background. Yet the girl's family was wealthier than her MIL's and were nowhere near being scam artists.

The groom's mother was so bent on ruining their relationship that she even tried to fabricate messages between him and his ex that made it seem like he was cheating. It backfired when she produced messages showing he had been out of town for a weekend when he was with his partner the whole time.

After that, the couple did not speak to the groom's mother for over a year. However, when they finally made contact again, the girl's MIL had nothing nice to say about their relationship and barely apologized.

Although the girl came from a good family and treated her MIL's son with love and respect, she maintained her racist and discriminatory views about the girl. Later, the MIL was extremely upset when the couple announced their engagement.

When the couple announced they were to get married, the girl's family was excited and supportive, while the groom's mother said she would stop the wedding if it was the last thing she did.

Soon after the engagement, the couple began wedding planning in earnest, and the MIL did her best to sabotage the day. She sent the wrong addresses when the couple asked for an address list. She attempted to cancel the flowers by pretending she was the bride and even tried to change the menu.

All of these incidences were met with patience. However, one day, she did something that caused the bride and groom to snap and decide they would get revenge.

The groom's brother acted as if he was on his mom's side and then reported her plans to the bride and groom. One day, he told the couple that his mother and all the women in his family would arrive at the wedding in black mourning clothes too, as they said:

"...make it clear this was not a day of joy for them, but a day of mourning, since her son made the biggest mistake of his life."

This happened four months before the wedding, leaving the couple plenty of time to plan the perfect revenge, which they knew they would exact against the groom's mother on their wedding day.

How Did The Couple Get Revenge?

On the couple's wedding day, all the guests gathered in the church before being told that the wedding party was about half an hour late. The guests were then shown a DVD as they waited.

On the DVD was the revenge that the couple had been planning, which turned out to be "explosive." The couple had collected evidence that the groom's mother was a bully to the bride and compiled it into a DVD.

The accounts came from many people, including the wedding vendors whom the MIL had almost tricked. The reports began with the food vendor, who recalled how the groom's mother tried changing the menu.

Next came the flower vendor, who recounted how the MIL had tried to cancel the flowers by pretending she was the bride. The groom's brother also installed spyware on her laptop, allowing everyone to see how badly she had spoken of her daughter-in-law to family members on Skype.

The girl's MIL became distressed at the video and ran to the front of the church to try and turn it off, but she was quickly stopped. When the film was over, the bride's father went to the front of the church to explain.

The bride's father explained that the groom's family had constantly mistreated his daughter and that they knew they had to do something when they heard the groom's mother's plans for the big day. He shared:

"So the couple has decided your side of the family does not deserve to be at the wedding. I hereby inform you that there will not be a wedding today at all. Months ago, they [sic] changed everything to a different date."

The person who posted the story on Reddit shared: "Friends [and] family stayed very silent during this speech, probably shocked and embarrassed into silence."

By the time the groom's family had seen the video, the couple had already been married a week as they had moved their wedding date and location. They were already on honeymoon when the groom's family readied themselves for the big day and asked that the groom's family not talk to them for a year after they got home.
