Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner's Orange Outfits at the 'Marty Supreme' Premiere Hide a Significant Meaning — Explained
Timothée Chalamet had a color in mind. Weeks later, his reality TV star girlfriend wore it. And just like that, everyone was thinking about his new film.
It looked like a spontaneous fashion moment, but it wasn't. When Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner arrived at the "Marty Supreme" premiere in head-turning orange, they didn't just make headlines. They reignited a vision that had quietly taken shape weeks before.
Far from the red carpet, in a closed-door meeting, a strategic idea was already in motion.

Chalamet and Jenner stepped into the spotlight at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills in matching tones: he in leather, she in a cutout gown. The color choice was impossible to miss. But for those involved in the film's development, it felt deliberate.
Back on November 18, Chalamet had joined A24's marketing team via Zoom to pitch a bold visual concept: orange as the film’s signature identity. "If it's orange now, you're thinking 'Marty Supreme,'" he said.
He described a spectrum of intense shades, "Hardcore orange. Corroded orange. Falling apart orange. Rusted orange." His goal? To build a visual language that audiences would associate with the film. A color cue as unmistakable as the "Barbie" film's pink, which he referenced during the call.
Though Jenner is not part of the cast or crew, her striking ensemble seemed to echo the exact palette Chalamet outlined. Whether this alignment was intentional or not remains unconfirmed.
A24 has not released details on its full marketing plan. But the orange visuals, first proposed behind closed doors, are now very much public.
