A North Carolina bridge, Maggie Earwood, found out exactly what type of man she was marrying just moments before she was to walk down the aisle.

Her husband-to-be, U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Caleb Earwood, knew he wanted to do an important thing just before the ceremony could take place.

He needed to pray with his soon-to-be-wife before any ceremony.

The sweet moment was captured by wedding photographer Dwayne Schmidt. He confessed that he could barely keep his composure amid the weepy eyes and overwhelming love that poured out into the room.

Schmidt recalled, “As soon as their hands touched he started getting emotional.”

They followed the wedding tradition and refrained from looking at one another before the marriage ceremony.

They grasped hands, faced away from each other with eyes closed and prayed for God’s blessing over their marriage.

Caleb said, “We were about to take our first steps in life together, and we didn’t want to take a step without it being in God’s will.”

He said that he prayed for the “beautiful and intelligent wife” he was blessed with and the amazing family he was marrying into.

The moment the bride grabbed her groom’s hand, she knew what type of marriage she was in for and it was the reason for her absolute joy.

Maggie revealed that Caleb was nervous and was shaking when she grabbed his hand. She was relieved to know that the man she was marrying felt the same way about God.

She could not hold back her tears and neither could the ones witnessing the ceremony. Maggie added that there were no dry eyes in the room.

Nobody had expected that the stunning photo from the wedding would go on to become an internet sensation, but they are happy it did.

Caleb expressed his happiness over the picture being able to touch many hearts.
