Mom doesn’t let her daughter eat sugar. 2 years later results are hard to believe
Although opinions may be divided about what is best for a child, every parent would say they want the very best for their own children, and this mother is really pushing the limits.
According to Daily Mail, Brisbane mother Shan Cooper refuses to feed her daughter with the usual baby food most people feed their children with.
According to Newsner, this fitness enthusiast has never let her 2-year-old daughter, Grace, eat any sugar or fast-acting carbohydrates.
This lovely girl has been eating according to the paleo diet since she was born, as she had never been fed any processed foods, no purées, and no sugary cereal.
Cooper parenting choices attracted the attention of the media after she began documenting her journey on Instagram.
The Brisbane mother is now explaining to the world, through the extensive sharing of different pictures, the reason behind her daughter’s diet.
The diet bans grains and dairy in favor of foods "cavemen could scavenge for," such as meat, fish, eggs, fruits, and vegetables.
According to Healthy Way, proponents of the diet claim that it has several advantages, including weight loss, reduced risk of disease, increased energy levels, reduced sensitivity to allergies, and even improved brain functioning.
This proud mother explained, during an interview with Daily Mail, that her 2-year-old little girl never gets sick due to this diet.
“She spends a lot of time around other kids who are sick all the time, who have snotty noses, coughs, colds, but she just doesn’t pick it up,” Cooper said.
Although her daughter only eats natural things that keep her healthy, Cooper said she won’t forbid her daughter from eating cake or other treats at parties.
'She’ll be old enough to know she can choose whatever she wants to eat. She’ll probably come home jacked up on sugar and cake and say, "Mum, I don’t feel very well." And next time instead of eating 12 cupcakes she might only eat three. I want Grace to eat what makes her feel good,' she wrote
