Melania Trump stumbling into Donald's arms resulted in unexpected clothes sales of her coat
The pair of shoes that the former model almost tripped in started boosting in sales.
According to an article published by Inquisitr, the sales of a formal outfit went up after it was worn by First Lady Melania Trump while boarding the Marine One.
She and POTUS were about to embark on a trip to New Hampshire, and cameras captured the couple’s walk across the South Lawn towards the helicopter.
Melania was seen wearing leather boots designed by Gianvito Rossi. The knee-length high-heeled designer boots almost caused Melania to slightly lose balance and trip.
However, a video captured that the President was able to stop her from tumbling down, and she regained her balance and walked safely to the aircraft.
The online listing of the boots states that it is made of thick Nappa leather and features an almond-style tapered toe. The height of the thin heels was listed as 4 inches, and the boots were described as having a subtle slouchy fit.
Pull-on boots typically provide lesser steadiness since they are not attached firmly around the ankle, which has been cited as a possible reason for Mrs. Trump’s minor stumble.
However, the incident appears to have caused a boost in the sales of the boots, which are priced at $1,625.
The almond-colored footwear is available in other hues, and many sizes in the white and black variants appear to have sold out.
Another accessory from Melania’s outfit that became instantly popular was her woolen coat. Designed by Chloé, the coat’s price was reportedly mentioned as $3,950.
It featured a large statement collar and knitted sleeves, and the blue-colored variant of the coat was quick to go out of stock.
Other websites listed the same coat at a much lower price, and many of them have been sold out, too. Although the product is not on the Saks website, sources stated that it was available at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,580.
