Jana Duggar caught wearing 'prohibited' clothes, reportedly inspired by rebellious sisters
There are many beliefs in the world, and whether they are based on religion or not, the truth is that they must be respected, even if they don't seem to make sense.
In the case of the Duggars, the famous family from TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, which premiered on December 13, 2015, its members grew up with very strict rules, especially the girls.
They were taught by their parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, that modesty was everything, which meant that the girls weren't allowed to wear revealing clothes, as reported by the Inquisitr.
When most people hear the term 'revealing clothes,' they usually think of miniskirts, fishnets and tops that show some cleavage. For the Duggars, even the arms must be covered up.
But one of their daughters, Jana, the only female Duggar over 18 that is still single, was spotted wearing pants recently. It all happened in the lastest episode of the show, during which the family attended Joe Duggar and Kendra Caldwell Duggar's joint bachelor and bachelorette party.
According to the source, it is believed that Jana followed in her sisters' footsteps. Jill Duggar Dillard and Jinger Duggar Vuolo started wearing pants as soon as they got married.
The Duggars believe that a girl must follow her fathers' orders until she gets married. Jana broke that rule by not wearing the traditional long skirt and shirt that would cover the top of her arms.
As reported by the Inquisitr, more conservative Christians believe that a woman must be completely covered up, including her head, but the Duggars haven't adopted such an extreme point of view.
When it comes to being the only adult female Duggar that hasn't tied the knot, Jana, who is 28 years old, confessed that it could be very lonely, but that her friend Laura, who now lives with the Duggars full-time, has helped conquer that barrier.
