Although most celebrities try to be a little more theatrical than the majority of people when giving news, some of them are just regular folks.

Cameron Diaz seems to be one the last, as she accidentally gave away the news that she's already retired from acting.

According to Harper's Bazaar, earlier this month, in an interview with Metro, Selma Blair accidentally revealed that Diaz was retired.

Diaz, Blair, and Christina Applegate gathered to talk mostly about their 2002 film "The Sweetest Thing" with Entertainment Weekly.

According to Today, the trio was talking about getting together since making that movie, and when Applegate and Blair admitted their children are friends, Diaz said she wanted to get together more frequently.

But that's not the whole story. As they were talking about getting together more often, Diaz accidentally confirmed that she was retired from acting.

"Maybe I should, you know, I mean, I'm down. I'm literally doing nothing," she said.

Quickly after, Applegate noted that motherhood has kept her "semiretired," as she told everyone that she was also doing nothing.

"I’m literally doing nothing, too! I’m semi-retired, I haven’t worked for years. I’m a mom, that’s what we do. So I’m around, man," Applegate said.

After that, Diaz said again that she was retired from acting and the whole issue was dropped from then on during the interview.

According to Daily Mail, Diaz hasn't been seen on the big screen since the movie version of the musical Annie was released in 2014.

Since that appearance, Diaz tied the knot with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, 39, and has been enjoying time away from Hollywood.
