If there is one celebrity that has nailed the art of looking glam without trying too hard, then it’s Katie Holmes. The mother of one is effortlessly chic and drama-less even after being in the entertainment industry for eons. She hasn’t been sharing enough lately on the Instagram page, but this photo she shared some time ago when she graced the cover of Entertainment Weekly Magazine gives us and close to 130,000 of her followers something to look at while we await new content.

From around mid last year, Holmes adopted a pixie cut and fans went crazy. Well, some took a while to adjust, but most got on board because it was edgy and so different of her. She had, for the longest time, wore her hair in a bun. While some thought it had something to do with Jamie Fox being in her life, turns out that the Dawson Creek actress just wanted to know how it looks like and feels on the other side. She, however, said in an interview she is ready to grow it back as she misses her long hair.

Holmes, who apart from being a great actress is a dedicated mother to daughter Suri, 11, talked to Today about their relationship and what keeps them close.

Holmes told TODAY in an interview;

“I do a lot to put perspective on life. We help out the homeless. We do small acts of kindness. Again, it’s a daily thing. I don’t over-gift. I don’t inundate my child with a lot of things. We’re trying to raise good humans and some days we’re better at it than others. You don’t always get treats."

She added that they talk a lot and she listens to her closely. “I listen to her. It’s a daily thing. I try to reward her for her hard work, and not necessarily the results of the hard work.”

Great lessons for parents. Talk to us in comments.
