'The Waltons' star dishes about the possibility of a return for the beloved TV show
Michael Learned, star of the original cast of The Waltons, didn't seem too sure about a reboot of the series coming out.
According to Closer Weekly, while many fans would like to see a reboot of the TV series, The Waltons, they'll probably won't get pleased.
In an exclusive new interview, The Waltons star Michael Learned shared her thoughts on rebooting the legendary show.
The 79-year-old actress explained that although reboots are ok, she's not in a position to work like she used to do back with The Waltons, which recently celebrated its 45th anniversary.
"Roseanne is fabulous but... I’m old," she told Closer, also claiming that she wouldn't expect a reboot of the1972 to 1981 drama.
Considering what she said about the cast, it is obvious that time didn't cut any good relationships she encountered on the show.
"We get together and have the best time. I had drama in my personal life, but as a working family we were great friends, and we're family now," she admitted.
During an interview in 2017, Learned explained that she has been a victim of domestic abuse in the past, claiming that she had to learn the hard way.
She expressed that when she learned it was not normal to let others physically abuse her, she became stronger for that.
The actress also claimed that there were times when her partner was physically violent, remembering one time when he put a choke hold on her.
"I called the cops once, but I decided not to press charges. I should have,” she reveals.
Eventually, things turned around for her, as she’s been married to her fourth husband, attorney John Doherty, for nearly 26 years.
