The young boy in the picture grew up to be one of the most in-demand stars of his generation.

He is none other than Burt Reynolds, a man with quite a reputation when it comes to his vices and relationships.

As shared by Do You Remember, Reynolds knew how to enjoy the life he has been given. At present, he is 82 years old.

One might say that the actor has shaped quite an image, as explained by his tell-all book entitled But Enough About Me: A Memoir that was published in 2015.

Reynolds was born in Lansing, Michigan. When he was ten years old, his family moved to Riviera Beach, Florida.

While his father worked as the Chief of Police, he tried his luck with taking football seriously as a young man.

He attended Palm Beach High School, where Reynolds was named First Team All-State and All Southern as a fullback. His exemplary record in football opened the doors to several scholarship offers.

At the time, it seemed that he was bound to have a career in pro football, but his dreams were crushed when he was involved in a car accident resulting in a knee injury.

Later on, Reynolds made the decision to become a police officer. Although, his father insisted that he finish university and Reynolds ended up taking several classes at Palm Beach Junior College.

Reynolds sparked an interest in acting when his English professor, Watson B. Duncan III, suggested that he should audition for a play he was producing. Reynolds ended up playing the lead role and his performance made him win the 1956 Florida State Drama Award.

As part of his winnings, he was awarded a scholarship to Hyde Park Playhouse in New York. While Reynolds thought it would be fun, he was not serious about making a career out of acting. Soon enough, he found himself with a New York agent.

He started as a star in a Broadway play and in time, he was on his way to Hollywood. He starred in a television series entitled Pony Express.

Offers upon offers kept on coming and Reynolds became one of the sought-after movie stars of his time. His best work is his performance on Smoky and the Bandit.

Presently, because of his age and his depreciating health, Reynolds has slowed down and had not been appearing on-screen as frequently as he used to be.
