Remember Diddy & Halle Berry's son Tyrell in 'Monster's Ball'? He's now 27 and a proud father

The American drama film ‘Monster’s Ball,’ not only gave Halle Berry her first Academy Award and a huge recognition from the general public and the media, it also introduced child actor Coronji Calhoun to the entertainment industry. However, the kid was away from the spotlight for years, and he recently surfaced on social media.

Celebritist learned from Instagram that the actor who gave life to Halle Berry and Sean Combs’ son on the acclaimed film “Monster’s Ball” is no longer a child. Now, with 27-years-old and a son, he looks almost unrecognizable.

Coronji Calhoun was only 10 years old when he made his debut on the big screen alongside some of the biggest names in the industry like Halle Berry, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Heath Ledger, Billy Bob Thornton and Peter Boyle.

In the film, he gave life to Tyrell Musgrove, the obese son of Leticia Musgrove, a widow whose husband was sentenced to death by electric chair and who struggled to raise her son financially and emotionally.

Leticia abuses Tyrell emotionally and mentally, constantly berating him about his weight, but when the child is hit by a truck in an accident that ends his life, she regrets her behavior and suffers a deep depression.

Her performance earned Halle the honor of becoming the first African American woman to win an Academy Award for “Best Actress,” but after the hype for the film passed, Coronji was forgotten. He kept a low profile through all these years, and recently emerged once again on social media.

He’s now a 27-years-old with a six-year-old son that looks just like him when he was little. There’s no information known about the mother of the child or Coronji’s current work situation, but it seems like he remembers fondly his short time in the entertainment industry.

According to some of his Instagram posts, Coronji seems to have gone down a dangerous road filled with drugs and guns, but we can’t be sure of his current situation since he doesn’t say much on social media.

Time sure has passed by fast and Coronji’s looks almost unrecognizable these days. However, despite being away from the spotlight, he seems to be doing fine on his own terms and even has his own family now.
