Viola Davis melts hearts with a photo of daughter and singer Taylor Swift

Viola Davis’ daughter loves Taylor Swift and so her famous mommy made plans for them to get together for a photo session. How cool is that? The little girl clearly had fun and now she can go back to the serious business of playing dress up and tea parties with her friends.

Viola Davis’ daughter is a cute bundle of joy who has one tough cookie for a role model. The How to Get Away with Murder actress seems to be as tough in person as she is on the show, but she is certainly a different person when she is with Genesis Tennon – daughter.

Being six years old, Genesis is at that age where she likes dressing up. Her mom is okay with her being whomever she wants, but with one condition; she does it in her natural hair. She tries to drive the point home with a variety of children's books such as I Love My Cotton Candy Hair and I Like Myself!

The actress told Yahoo Lifestyle;

"I say, ‘You've gotta wear your hair exactly the way it is. You can be Wonder Woman, but you gotta be Wonder Woman with your hair. You can be Elsa, but you gotta be Elsa with your hair.’ “You can do all of that stuff if you start with the palette of loving who you are.”

Reflecting on her own childhood, Davis says she wishes she had someone affirming to her that she was enough. “If someone had told me that just time and time again … oh, my God! I would’ve had a completely different childhood. And my childhood was good, even with all the pain and poverty. But it would’ve been even better.”

Looking at Viola’s photos of her daughter, she clearly is embracing the natural hair message.
