'GMA' star Robin Roberts' stylish on-show dresses are more affordable than we thought
"Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts shows her flair for fashion
Robin Roberts has proved as host of Good Morning America that she is a bold woman, prepared to take risks - and that goes for her fashion style too.
Roberts has eschewed the usual conservative suits other talk show hosts usually cling to, and celebrated her love of color, prints, and shapes on most popular morning news program in the nation, reported GoodHouseKeeping.com.
Many of her viewers and fans have been wondering where she gets her stunning outfits from. Where does Robin Roberts shop for her daring and unusual dresses? Most would imagine those striking fashion pieces would come with a hefty price label, and they would be mistaken.
Roberts is a dedicated customer of the Dress Barn and New York and Company labels, and that is where she buys most of her trendy dresses and outfits.
Dress Barn was first opened in 1962 in Connecticut, at a time when women were entering the workforce in greater numbers, and there were few options for buying stylish and affordable clothing.
Dress Barn caters to women of all shapes and sizes from a 2 to a 24. Their clothes are fun, fresh, stylish, sophisticated and very affordable, with the top price on any item in the store being $50.
Roberts' other shop-til-you-drop spot is New York & Company. The company was founded in 1918 and hasn't looked back since. From flapper fashions to current cool, the label has done it all with elegance, style, and perfect fits.
Roberts doesn't just talk the talk, she walks the walk; and is a brilliant example of what the average American woman can achieve with a limited budget and a sense of style.
Roberts has dozens and dozens of Instagram comments praising her style, and those women will be glad to know they can afford to dress just like their idol.
Roberts joined ABC News as a featured reporter for Good Morning America in June 1995. Her career as a journalist has been brilliant and in 2014, Roberts won the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism and is the recipient of the 2018 Radio Television Digital News Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Roberts co-anchored the historic wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the American television star, at St. George's Chapel in London on May 19, 2018.
In 2012 Roberts was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a disease of the bone marrow, and made a documentary of her experience, bone marrow transplant, and subsequent recovery. She received the 2012 Peabody Award for the program.
