Duane Martin shares video of sons starring in their own program about wildlife

Duane Martin’s and Tisha Campbell-Martin’s sons, Xen and Ezekiel are already on their way to the spotlight and is all thanks to the 16-years-old’s efforts. The young man discovered his passion in life early, and now he’s teaching people about animals in his self-produced YouTube show.

Xen Martin was diagnosed with autism when he was a child, but his parents never enrolled him in a special need class because they wanted him to be modeled after a typical kid, and now, as a teenager, that’s exactly the way he is.

Tisha Campbell-Martin revealed in an interview with Essence that early intervention helped to train her child’s brain to its greatest potential, stating that:

“Of course it’s a spectrum disorder so that’s added into the mix. Everybody gets a different amount and it looks different with every child because every human being is different. Early intervention is key. I can attest to for my child and myself.”

Xen went from being non-verbal and flapping his arms around to communicate to having his own YouTube show with over 90 episodes already. In the self-produced show called “Zoologist Network,” Xen teaches us everything theirs is to know about any kind of animals as he visits zoos around the country.

In the most recent episode, Xen and his little brother, whom he calls “Zeke” visited the Santa Barbara Zoo, and Zen allowed the boy to help him through the whole episode, proving just how smart both of them are and how natural they are in front of the camera.

Their father couldn’t be prouder of the boys, and he showed his love for them by sharing an extract of the episode on Instagram and adding his caption:

“Xen allowed Zeke to be his assistant on this episode of his. When your child discovers what they LOVE. Feed them early and often. Xen has 90 episodes of his show called ZNN (Zoologist News Network) he did this on his own. I’m so proud of him. His link is on his IG.”

The boys seem to be happy despite the fact that their parents are currently in the middle of their legal separation. Tisha filed for divorce in February after 20 years of marriage, and she asked for joint legal and physical custody of the boys.

We’re glad to know that Xen is learning everything he needs to become a zoologist in the future, is great to see kids so motivated, not only to learn, but also to share that knowledge with others. Tisha and Duane did a great job as parents.
