7-year-old Brian Mulroney was a page boy at the Royal Wedding between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

A photograph of him captured standing right behind Markle with a toothless smile was deemed one of the funniest photographs taken at the wedding.

Mulroney's father, Ben, who is the husband of Markle's best friend, revealed on the Canadian television show Your Morning the reason behind his son's famous smile.

In the show, the father explained that Mulroney was actually surprised and a bit shocked by all the spectacle during the wedding because none of that was present during the rehearsals.

He further admitted that it was the sound of the trumpets that bemused his son because he had never heard it before.

“I think when he walked in, he saw all the people there, and the flowers, none of that was there during the rehearsal," he told the hosts of the show. “I asked him, and he said he’d never heard a trumpet before.”

Although all the children who were present at the wedding as bridesmaids or page boys, including Mulroney's 4-year-old twin siblings, Jon and Ivy, had a good time, they were a bit shocked initially by the grandness of it all.

Ben also revealed how they were all been nervous about not getting it right on the day of the wedding and talked about it a lot during the rehearsals.

He also confessed that he was concerned that all the pressure would make the event an unbearable one for the young ones. But despite all the nervousness, Ben admitted that the children had a lot of fun at the wedding.

Mulroney and his siblings did a great job as the bridesmaid and page boys, and were spotted waving to the Royal fans and also carrying Markle's veil.
