The Real' co-host Jeannie Mai flaunts curves at the gym after gaining considerable weight
Jeannie Mai has been having a tough time these past few months after her 10-year marriage came to an end, and this has caused her to want to become a healthier version of herself. The TV personality has made sure to get back on track and workout to show herself some self-love.
Just before 2017 ended, her ex-husband Freddy Harteis filed for divorce and has found a new partner with whom he is expecting a child. While Jeannie Mai was heartbroken, she started to lose sight of taking care of herself. She stopped eating regularly, and it is something that made her weight fluctuate. However, she has been trying to work on being better for herself.
"The Real" co-host has been on a fitness journey that has been trying to get her away from the extremely thin frame she had which she admits is not natural. For more than a decade, she kept her weight strictly at 103 pounds, which was completely underweight for her height.
Now that she has been trying to achieve a stronger and healthier figure, the results look amazing. On an Instagram post, the TV host shared the amazing results of her fitness journey.
"On the left is the first time I tried on this dress, at a weight I've kept for 12 years, 103 lbs. Staying 103 came from my self control to lose "chubby" teenage weight and a stressful idea that my body was built to look best "thin". As I'm nearing my 40s, I realize that I've been thru so much shit mentally and emotionally, why the hell should my body be forced to suffer (from my over controlling ways) too?"
Mai shared that a healthy way to gain some weight is to add more lean proteins into your diet, and to undergo strength training. Moreover, eating more often with a number of small meals a day is better than eating the usual three meals a day routine.
"So 3 months ago I started a new eating plan and training program and gained 17 lbs. I don't have a weight goal..just a promise to be as physically Strong as I am mentally Indestructable. So far I'm 3 months of eating more, (clean protein and saying Yes to carbs!!), lifting heavy weights (best therapy ever!!) and truly loving all of Me. Not sure where I'm headed but I know I'm gonna look the best I've ever looked because Im spending quality time on ME. Here's to Mai first #transformationTuesday. What tips you want me to share in my journey? Cuz I'm def learning now that a figure with curves offers interesting angles #summerbodyhereIcome #leanmuscle #StrongisthenewSexy"
Jeannie ends her advice by saying that self-love is truly the best motivation.
