Katie Holmes shares new video of daughter Suri jumping for joy with friend

Her daughter is more often than not kept out of the limelight to give her the most normal childhood possible, but the happy momma decided to make an exception.

Katie Holmes has kept 12-year-old Suri fairly sheltered, particularly since she divorced her daughter's father, Tom Cruise. But every now and again she offers her fans a glimpse into the little girl's life.

The Batman Begins actress recently took to Instagram to share a short video clip of her daughter and a friend, and the footage has her fans elated at her parenting and how happy Suri looks.

The sweet clip shows Suri and her friend skipping down the sidewalk hand-in-hand, giving a number of leaps for joy as they go.

The two girls are both wearing pretty floral dresses, one in pink with white and orange flowers, and the other in white with red roses. Both are wearing sneakers.

Just before the moment when they start to take their giant leaps down the sidewalk, Holmes slows down the footage for dramatic effect, making it seem as if the girls are all but flying through the air.

Both girls' dark brown locks wave merrily behind them as they leap about.

The post raked in almost 200,000 views in just 2 days, with over 25,000 likes.

Plenty of fans commented on the post, expressing their delight at seeing Suri looking so happy and healthy.

"Freedom for kids, keep this moment," c34 commented, while Cynthia added: "Love love love. Innocence and beauty."

While Holmes has continued to work in Hollywood after her divorce, she only takes jobs that won't negatively affect her daughter in any way.

“When I’m not on set, I’m being a mom,” she told Hello! Magazine. “I’m doing mom stuff. When I go to an event, I leave at 10 p.m. because it’s really important to me to be a mom that is dependable. I think the most important thing in my life is giving my child the childhood I want her to have. That comes first. That dictates where I work and when I work because it’s my main job right now.”

Holmes has not only shielded her daughter from the public eye, but has kept her own personal life very private as well since she and Cruise called it quits in 2012.
