The herd comes to a halt and waits for its mother to pull the little one out. She tries to rescue her baby, but it cannot get itself up over the ledge.

It is not that high, but for a tiny elephant, it is a huge challenge.

It has its front legs stretched onto the high ground but soon realizes its hind legs are not long enough to push its body up.

Some adults of the herd notice the futile efforts of the baby and its mother. They reach out to help because a family of elephants helps out each other in times of need.

Two adults enter the rescue mission, dangling their trunks behind the young member if their group. They push as hard as they can and successfully bring him out of the watering hole to continue their journey.

The baby emerges unharmed from the ordeal but stumbles on its way out. Maybe the little one is exhausted, or perhaps it is just an adorable and clumsy baby elephant.

The video has been watched more than 1.9 million times with thousands of likes and comments.
