The reality star admits she isn't willing to die in her latest post lashing out at her detractors who see her weight loss as other than what it really is.
Tami Roman isn’t taking any more negativity over her weight loss so she’s speaking out to defend herself.
The 48-year-old has been hounded by foul talk due to the fact that she’s lost a considerable amount of weight in the past year. And while she’s kept silent all this time, she decided to end that on Thursday. She posted a photo of herself looking slim and more importantly, confident in her own skin. An image pointing out to the fact that she isn’t apologizing for the way she looks and why she lost weight.
In her caption, the ‘Basketball Wives’ star revealed she was losing weight to manage her diabetes and not because she’s satisfying her vanity.
“I didn’t lose weight, I lost my willingness to die. DIABETES IS NO JOKE! I Detox, suppress my appetite and make better food choices. So enjoy yourself laughing, leaving negative comments & calling me a “crackhead”...but I have two beautiful daughters and I’m gon’ live for them by ANY means necessary. #BeBlessed #HealthyForMe "
This is not the first time the 48-year-old has had to deal with criticism. Back in 2014, she also addressed the issue of her weight loss and credited it to her change in lifestyle due to her diabetes.
“I have to hear how skinny I am on EVERY post. I am not trying, I have diabetes and this is just my world right now. I am fine and dealing with my illness accordingly. If you can’t handle me this way, please unfollow, because I don’t want to be reminded of something I already know and have no control over.”
It’s no surprise that Tami is taking her health seriously. In 2014, she was rushed to the hospital after she suffered from diabetic shock. She was discovered passed out in her Houston home by her daughter who called 911. Tami was discharged from the hospital the following day and was found to have also experienced dehydration. In 2012, Tami also had a major health scare when she suffered a heart attack.
