Drake gets dragged for supporting married ex Serena Williams at Wimbledon
Rapper and entrepreneur Drake was present at the Wimbledon tennis match wherein Serena Williams, who reportedly dated the singer, was playing.
The man was photographed wearing a black shirt covered by a green hoodie paying attention to every single move that both Serena and Italian tennis player Camila Giorgi were doing.
As E! News reported Serena and Drake were romantically linked in 2012 as they were spotted together from time to time. However, things were confirmed in 2015, when the couple was captured in photos kissing each other in the Sotto restaurant in Cincinnati.
After a while, they decided to part ways and, at the moment, not only Serena is married to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, but also they have welcomed a baby girl to the world.
Since her life is pretty good nowadays, fans considered that Drake shouldn’t have gone to that match.
Many people took to Twitter to show their discomfort, including @pochakosoba, who confessed that they rather have President Donald Trump than Drake watching Serena playing as Drake was a ‘curse.’
User @peachskwebu pointed out that Serena was not converting her break points, so Drake needed to get out of the court as soon as possible.
@Nikki528 added she wanted Drake to stay away from Serena matches in perpetuity as he ‘jinxes her.’
Finally, @AmazingSymetri responded to a joke that the ESPN Twitter account did referring to one of Drake’s newest hit song In My Feelings. The sports outlet wrote ‘Serena, do you love me’ next to a couple of music emoji.
The user replied and said that the joke was ignorant and messy as Serena is married and has a child. They ended up by declaring that Drake was doing ‘things,’ and that they should leave Serena out of it.
BET reported that Serena defeated Giorgi with a final score of 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, so Drake’s curse wasn’t present that day.
