An old man can't believe his eyes when a kid walks past him with chicken wire

A Mississippi senior man is sitting on his front porch while watching the sunrise.

He then noticed the neighbor's child walks by carrying a spool of something metallic under his arm.

"Hey boy, whatcha got there?" he asked.

The kid looked at him and replied: "Chicken wire."

"What you gonna do with that?" the old man asked again, to which the boy replied: "Gonna catch some chickens."

"You damn fool! You can't catch chickens with chicken wire!" said the elderly man.

The boy just laughed and kept walking. He walked by that evening at sunset, dragging behind him 30 chickens caught in the chicken wire.

The next day, the old man saw that child walks by carrying a shiny roll of something.

"Hey boy, whatcha got there?" he asked him.

"Duct tape," the boy responded.

"What you gonna do with that?"

"Gonna catch me some ducks."

"You damn fool! You can't catch ducks with duct tape!" the old man said.

The boy laughed and kept walking. That evening at sunset, he walked by, trailing behind him 30 ducks caught in a long trail of duct tape.

The next morning, the old man saw the boy walking by carrying a branch behind him.

"Hey boy, whatcha got there?" he asked.

The boy replied: "It's a pussy willow."

"Wait up," the old man said. "I'll get my hat!"
