Missing: Family pleads with the public for help in finding their daughter

A Santa Clara-Ivins family is pleading for help to find their teenage daughter. McKenzie Scholzen went missing on Monday night.

According to the police, she has been declared as a “Missing / Endangered Juvenile.” She apparently went out for a walk and never came back.

McKenzie Scholzen, 17, has been missing since the beginning of the week. Police officers from the Santa Clara-Ivins Police Department are now asking for help from the public to find her.

She was last seen on Monday night by her family. Police believe that she didn’t take any additional clothes with her, and was in need of medication.

Her father, Jeff Scholzen, took to Facebook to make a plea. He revealed in his post that his daughter had left her family’s house to go for a walk at about 10 p.m. but did not return from her walk.

“She is suicidal and has shown destructive behavior now and in the past to herself.”

Jeff said his wife Cami had gone to Diamond Valley to get McKenzie from a friend’s house. That’s when the teenager decided to take a walk.

Her father described her as being suicidal and destructive. In the post, Jeff also shared a picture of his teenage daughter.

She was described as a white girl with blonde hair who is 5’ tall and weighs around 130 Lbs. So far, the post has been shared more than 4.500 times.

It’s also received more than 370 comments.
