Paris Hilton's mother explains the celebrity's wedding delay

When heiress and TV personality Paris Hilton got engaged to actor/model Chris Zylka in January 2018, speculation about the when and where of the wedding rose to fever-pitch.

Zylka proposed to Hilton in Aspen during a romantic get-away, and he popped the question in time-honored fashion, with a 20 carat diamond ring, and the heiress joyfully accepted.

However, Hilton, 37, and Zylka, 33, have yet to announce a wedding date, and Kathy Hilton opened up about her daughter's plans, revealed US Magazine.com.

"She's basically been traveling. She's really been busy … she has contracts and you have to fulfill all [of] them, you know?"

Kathy, 59, is the mother of four Hilton heirs: Paris, 37, Nicky, 34, Barron, 28, and Conrad, 24.

Originally Hilton had wanted to marry on the 11th of November 2018, but Kathy explained that Paris is bound by contracts, and only when these are fulfilled will she be free to plan her wedding.

Hilton is currently promoting her new skincare line - Paris Hilton Skincare - and her demanding schedule led her to delay her wedding.

Kathy said that she will be helping her daughter plan and organise her wedding, but kept mum about any details or what the theme of the celebrity wedding will be.

Kathy spoke about her daughter's relationship with Zylka, describing it as "supportive and caring."

Hilton has said that she feels like "the luckiest girl in the world" and that Zylka was her dream come true.

The heiress, who has had a troubled love life in the past thanked her fianceé for showing her that "fairytales do exist."

Hilton revealed that she is planning an intimate ceremony and a huge party afterward, and said she only plans to have "one wedding."

Her first order of business is deciding on a gown, which she confides will not be easy. Designers have been sending her sketches and prototypes and she is dazzled by the choice of so many beautiful options.
